Pixel Sensor
Pixel sensors are the fundamental building blocks of digital imaging systems, with ongoing research focused on improving their performance and functionality across diverse applications. Current efforts concentrate on enhancing image quality under challenging conditions (e.g., low light, high speed) through advanced pixel designs like quad-pixel sensors and novel algorithms for deblurring and disparity estimation. These advancements, including in-sensor processing and specialized architectures for lensless imaging and single-pixel imaging, aim to improve efficiency, reduce power consumption, and expand the capabilities of imaging technologies in fields ranging from mobile photography to medical imaging and beyond.
