PNPic Model
The PNPic model, a mathematical framework for simulating ion transport in channels, is being actively refined using advanced computational techniques. Current research focuses on improving the accuracy and efficiency of PNPic solvers through deep learning approaches, particularly those incorporating local neural networks and finite element methods, and by leveraging Plug-and-Play (PnP) regularization with hierarchical variational autoencoders or stochastic gradient descent for inverse problem solutions. These advancements aim to enhance the model's predictive power and applicability in diverse fields, such as biological modeling and materials science, by addressing challenges related to computational cost and solution accuracy.
