Pop Quiz
Research on "pop quiz" technology centers on leveraging large language models (LLMs) like GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 to automate the creation, grading, and even adaptive delivery of quizzes. Current efforts focus on improving the quality and pedagogical relevance of automatically generated questions, evaluating LLMs' ability to accurately assess student responses, and exploring their use in various educational settings and beyond, such as reverse engineering and code assessment. This work holds significant potential for enhancing personalized learning experiences, automating assessment tasks, and advancing the capabilities of AI in educational and other domains requiring question-answering and knowledge assessment.
