Population Model
Population models aim to mathematically represent the dynamics of populations, whether biological organisms, astronomical events, or even disease spread, with the primary objective of accurate prediction and insightful understanding of underlying processes. Current research emphasizes developing and refining both classical compartmental models and machine learning approaches, such as gradient descent optimization, symbolic regression, and ensembles of diverse models, often incorporating data-driven features to improve accuracy and interpretability. This work is significant for its applications in diverse fields, ranging from epidemiology and astrophysics to ecology, enabling better forecasting and informed decision-making in areas with complex population dynamics.
