Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) research is increasingly focused on developing automated diagnostic tools to address the shortage of mental health professionals and improve access to timely care. Current efforts leverage machine learning, employing diverse models such as transformer networks, convolutional neural networks, and recurrent neural networks, to analyze various data modalities including text from clinical interviews and online forums, audio recordings of interviews, and even video data capturing facial expressions and body language. These advancements aim to improve the accuracy and efficiency of PTSD diagnosis, ultimately leading to more effective and equitable mental healthcare.
