Power Transmission
Power transmission research focuses on improving the efficiency, reliability, and safety of electricity grids. Current efforts concentrate on automating inspection and maintenance using techniques like deep learning (e.g., ResNets, Graph Neural Networks) for image analysis of transmission towers and power signals, enabling faster and more accurate fault detection and damage assessment. These advancements leverage datasets of 3D point clouds and power system data to train models for tasks such as object detection, semantic segmentation, and state estimation, ultimately aiming to enhance grid operation and reduce maintenance costs.
