Pre Pandemic
Pre-pandemic research focuses on establishing baseline conditions across various domains to understand societal and individual behaviors before the COVID-19 disruption. Current studies utilize machine learning models, including gradient boosting, BERT, and graph attention networks, to analyze diverse data sources like bikesharing usage, social media sentiment, and electrocardiograms. This work is crucial for developing accurate predictive models for future crises, improving public health responses, and providing insights into the impact of large-scale events on human behavior and technological systems. The resulting baselines allow for more effective comparison and analysis of pandemic-related changes and inform the development of more robust and adaptable systems.
