Precision Livestock Farming
Precision livestock farming (PLF) utilizes advanced technologies to enhance animal welfare and farm productivity. Current research heavily emphasizes computer vision, employing deep learning models like YOLO and ResNet, along with other techniques such as acoustic analysis and accelerometer data processing, to monitor animal behavior, health, and location in both indoor and outdoor settings. This work relies on the development and use of publicly available datasets to train and validate these models, highlighting the need for high-quality, diverse data. The ultimate goal is to enable data-driven decision-making for improved animal management and resource optimization.
