Pressure Ulcer
Pressure ulcers, a significant healthcare challenge, are the focus of intense research aimed at improving prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Current efforts leverage deep learning, employing convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and architectures like UNet and EfficientNet, to analyze images for automated ulcer detection, segmentation of wound tissues (e.g., fibrin, granulation), and classification of ulcer stages. These advancements hold promise for improving diagnostic accuracy, standardizing reporting, and potentially reducing the substantial economic and patient-care burden associated with pressure ulcers.
