Projective Camera

Projective cameras model the image formation process, crucial for tasks like 3D scene reconstruction from multiple images (structure from motion). Current research focuses on improving the generalization and robustness of neural radiance fields (NeRFs) for projective cameras, particularly addressing challenges posed by satellite imagery and rational polynomial camera (RPC) models. This involves developing novel architectures incorporating techniques like spectral-to-spatial convolutions and reprojection supervision to enhance accuracy and handle scenarios with limited views or transient objects. Advances in this area have significant implications for applications such as satellite image processing, 3D modeling, and photogrammetry.
