Psychophysical Task
Psychophysics investigates the relationship between physical stimuli and their subjective perception, aiming to quantify the perceptual experience through experimental methods. Current research focuses on understanding how contextual factors (e.g., surrounding sounds, slip direction) influence perception, developing probabilistic models to predict perceptual scales and distances, and evaluating the interpretability of machine learning models through psychophysical paradigms. These studies are crucial for advancing our understanding of sensory processing, informing the design of human-computer interfaces, and improving the development of more human-centered AI systems.
