Public Value
Public value research explores the identification and reconciliation of competing societal values, particularly within resource allocation and urban planning contexts. Current investigations utilize computational methods like natural language processing and spatial clustering to analyze large datasets of citizen input, revealing diverse value systems and their spatial distribution, as well as examining how these values are reflected (or distorted) in artificial intelligence models like large language models (LLMs). Understanding and managing these value conflicts is crucial for equitable resource distribution and inclusive urban development, informing policy decisions and promoting more responsible AI development.
