Pulsar Time of Arrival
Pulsar time of arrival (TOA) measurements are crucial for various astrophysical studies, primarily aiming to precisely determine the arrival times of pulses emitted by pulsars. Current research focuses on improving TOA accuracy by mitigating radio frequency interference (RFI) using deep learning techniques like convolutional neural networks, and on efficiently analyzing the vast datasets generated by modern radio telescopes through methods such as normalizing flows for Bayesian inference. These advancements are vital for enhancing our understanding of pulsar populations, constraining neutron star properties, and detecting gravitational waves through pulsar timing arrays.
