Quantum Cognition

Quantum cognition explores the application of quantum mathematical frameworks, such as quantum probability and superposition, to model human cognitive processes like decision-making, perception, and language understanding, aiming to explain phenomena that classical models struggle to account for. Current research focuses on developing and testing quantum-inspired models, including neural networks incorporating quantum-generated randomness and quantum circuit simulations of cognitive tasks, to analyze data from psychological experiments and analyze the behavior of large language models. This interdisciplinary field offers a novel perspective on cognition, potentially leading to improved AI systems and a deeper understanding of the fundamental mechanisms underlying human thought.
