Quantum Representation
Quantum representation explores encoding classical data, such as images and audio, into quantum states for processing on quantum computers. Current research focuses on developing efficient encoding schemes, like variations of NEQR and FRQI for images, and adapting quantum algorithms (e.g., adiabatic quantum computing) for tasks like clustering and edge detection. These efforts aim to leverage quantum mechanics for faster and more efficient data processing, although challenges remain in mitigating noise and achieving a clear quantum advantage over classical methods, particularly for image processing with current hardware limitations.
