Radio Frequency Sensing
Radio frequency (RF) sensing uses radio waves to gather information about the environment and its occupants without requiring direct contact or line-of-sight. Current research focuses on improving accuracy and reducing limitations of existing techniques through methods like generative AI for data augmentation and enhancement, advanced signal processing algorithms (e.g., continuous wavelet transforms, Bayesian approaches), and sensor fusion (combining data from multiple sources, such as radar and laser scanners). These advancements are driving progress in applications such as human activity recognition, localization, and environmental mapping, with implications for smart homes, autonomous vehicles, and industrial automation.
