Relightable Neural

Relightable neural representations aim to create digital models of objects, particularly humans, that can be realistically illuminated from any viewpoint and lighting condition. Current research focuses on developing neural network architectures, often based on neural radiance fields (NeRFs) and their extensions, that efficiently capture both geometry and material properties, allowing for disentanglement of scene elements like lighting and surface reflectance. This capability is significantly advancing fields like computer graphics and digital asset creation by enabling photorealistic rendering and animation under arbitrary lighting scenarios, improving the realism and flexibility of virtual environments and digital humans.
