Research Assistant
Research assistants, increasingly powered by artificial intelligence, aim to augment human capabilities across diverse fields. Current research focuses on developing these assistants using large language models (LLMs), often incorporating Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, to provide tailored assistance for tasks ranging from code generation and qualitative data analysis to creative writing and even mental health support. This rapidly evolving field is significantly impacting research efficiency and productivity, while also raising important ethical considerations regarding bias, reliability, and transparency in AI-driven assistance.
