Response Matrix
A response matrix is a data structure representing interactions, often binary (e.g., correct/incorrect answers, presence/absence of a feature), between two sets of entities (e.g., students and test questions, DNS servers and requests). Current research focuses on analyzing these matrices using techniques like latent class models and matrix decomposition methods to uncover underlying patterns and latent structures, improving accuracy in areas such as educational assessment and cybersecurity threat detection. These analyses provide insights into complex systems, enabling more accurate predictions and improved decision-making in diverse fields ranging from psychometrics to network security.
