RGB Based
RGB-based computer vision research focuses on extracting meaningful information and performing complex tasks using only color image data, aiming to overcome limitations of depth-sensor reliance and improve robustness in challenging conditions. Current efforts concentrate on enhancing accuracy in depth estimation, object pose estimation (particularly 6D pose), and object detection, often employing generative adversarial networks (GANs), refined RANSAC-PnP algorithms, and novel fusion strategies for multi-view or multi-modal data. These advancements are significant for applications requiring cost-effective, real-time solutions in areas like autonomous navigation, robotics, and medical imaging, where depth sensors may be impractical or unavailable.
