Current research emphasizes developing efficient and robust algorithms, including those leveraging large-scale transformer-based models and gradient-domain approaches for improved accuracy and real-time performance. These advancements are driving progress in diverse fields, from robotics and augmented reality (through 6DoF pose estimation) to sports analytics and human-computer interaction, by enabling more accurate and efficient processing of visual information.
