Robotic Collective

Robotic collectives research focuses on designing and controlling groups of robots to achieve complex tasks collaboratively, exceeding the capabilities of individual robots. Current research emphasizes developing efficient algorithms for coordination and coalition formation, including those based on hedonic games and auction mechanisms, as well as exploring novel control strategies using visual information and bio-inspired models like swarming behaviors. This field is significant for advancing robotics in diverse applications such as military operations, disaster response, and exploration, driving improvements in scalability, robustness, and adaptability of multi-robot systems.
