Scene Optimization
Scene optimization focuses on efficiently and effectively representing and manipulating 3D scenes from various input data, such as images and videos, aiming for high-quality rendering and novel view synthesis. Current research emphasizes developing faster and more generalizable methods, often employing neural radiance fields (NeRFs), point-based graphics, and multi-plane image representations, with a strong focus on reducing per-scene optimization and improving efficiency in both training and inference. These advancements are significant for applications ranging from augmented and virtual reality to e-commerce and robotics, enabling more realistic and computationally feasible 3D scene manipulation across diverse domains.
