Scene Text Image Super Resolution
Scene text image super-resolution (STISR) aims to enhance the resolution of low-resolution text images, improving readability and downstream text recognition accuracy. Recent research emphasizes developing efficient and robust STISR models, often incorporating techniques like semantic guidance from pre-trained recognizers, attention mechanisms focusing on character regions, and specialized architectures for handling complex character structures (e.g., Chinese characters). This work is significant because improved STISR methods directly benefit applications relying on accurate scene text recognition, such as automated document processing and autonomous driving systems.
