Scientific Communication
Scientific communication research focuses on improving the clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness of disseminating scientific findings to diverse audiences. Current efforts leverage large language models (LLMs), particularly those based on transformer architectures, to analyze existing communication, generate summaries and lay explanations, and even detect distortions or misinformation. This work aims to enhance public understanding of science, improve the efficiency of scientific collaboration, and mitigate the spread of inaccurate information, ultimately fostering greater trust in and engagement with scientific knowledge.
