Scientific News
Research on scientific news reporting focuses on bridging the gap between complex academic publications and accessible public narratives, aiming to improve the accuracy and clarity of science communication. Current efforts leverage large language models (LLMs) like GPT-3.5 and Llama 2, employing various prompt engineering techniques, to automatically detect misinformation and generate accurate, simplified news reports from scientific papers. This work is crucial for enhancing public understanding of science, mitigating the spread of misinformation, and fostering trust in scientific institutions.
