Script Event Prediction
Script event prediction focuses on accurately forecasting subsequent events within a sequence, leveraging knowledge of typical event chains (scripts). Current research emphasizes improving prediction accuracy by incorporating richer event representations, handling branching narratives and uncertainty, and utilizing multimodal data (text and video) to learn more robust and flexible scripts. This work is significant for advancing natural language understanding and has applications in building more sophisticated AI assistants, improving narrative generation, and facilitating better understanding of human behavior in procedural tasks.
