Self Supervised Adaptation

Self-supervised adaptation focuses on improving the performance and adaptability of machine learning models without relying on large, manually labeled datasets. Current research emphasizes leveraging inherent data structures (e.g., contrastive learning, cycle consistency) to create self-supervision signals, often within transformer-based architectures or through the integration of multiple data sources. This approach is proving valuable across diverse applications, including video tracking, speaker verification, and autonomous driving, by enabling models to generalize better to unseen data and adapt to varying conditions or hardware limitations, thus reducing the need for extensive human annotation.
