Semi Structured Interview
Semi-structured interviews, a qualitative data collection method providing rich insights, are increasingly analyzed using automated techniques to overcome the limitations of manual processing. Current research focuses on leveraging large language models (LLMs), particularly those employing retrieval augmented generation (RAG) and BERT embeddings, to perform thematic analysis, information extraction, and even generate structured questionnaires from interview transcripts. This automated analysis significantly improves efficiency and scalability, particularly in fields like healthcare and talent management, while also raising important questions about the reliability and validity of LLM-assisted qualitative research.
