Single Image Camera Calibration
Single image camera calibration aims to determine a camera's intrinsic and extrinsic parameters (e.g., focal length, lens distortion, position, and orientation) from a single photograph, eliminating the need for multiple images or calibration targets. Current research focuses on improving the accuracy and robustness of both classical geometric methods and deep learning approaches, often incorporating 3D geometric constraints or model-free distortion correction techniques within neural networks. These advancements are crucial for various applications, including 3D reconstruction, robotics, augmented reality, and image editing, by enabling accurate measurements and scene understanding from readily available single images.
