Smart City Intersection
Smart city intersections leverage sensor networks, edge computing, and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication to enhance traffic safety and efficiency. Current research focuses on developing safety verification frameworks using temporal logic and reachability analysis, improving driver behavior through infrastructure-based warnings (analyzed via models like XGBoost), and creating comprehensive datasets like IMPTC to train AI models for predicting driver and pedestrian actions. This work is significant for improving road safety, particularly for vulnerable road users, and for advancing the development of autonomous driving systems in complex urban environments.
