Smart Home
Smart homes leverage interconnected devices and AI to automate tasks and enhance living experiences, primarily aiming to improve comfort, safety, and energy efficiency. Current research focuses on developing robust human activity recognition (HAR) systems using deep learning models like transformers and autoencoders, as well as personalized user interfaces powered by large language models (LLMs) to interpret nuanced commands and preferences. These advancements are significant for improving elderly care, enhancing home security through anomaly detection, and optimizing energy consumption, ultimately impacting both the scientific understanding of AI in complex environments and the practical design of more intuitive and responsive homes.
