Social Context
Social context research investigates how social interactions and relationships influence information processing, behavior, and technology design. Current studies focus on how social cues (e.g., user demographics, group dynamics, conversation style) affect the spread of misinformation, the performance of large language models, and the development of context-aware AI systems, often employing graph neural networks, transformer models, and other deep learning architectures. This work is crucial for improving the reliability of online information, enhancing human-computer interaction, and mitigating biases in AI systems, ultimately impacting fields ranging from public health to social science.
