Social Experience

Social experience research investigates how individuals interact and perceive interactions within various contexts, aiming to understand and model the complexities of social dynamics. Current research focuses on developing computational models, including generative models and reaction-diffusion systems, to analyze and predict social behaviors in diverse settings like urban streets and human-robot interactions. This work leverages large datasets of online activity, video recordings, and even fictional narratives to improve AI agents' ability to navigate and respond appropriately to social situations, with implications for fields ranging from urban planning to human-robot interaction design. Ultimately, these efforts seek to create more realistic and socially adept AI systems and provide valuable insights into the fundamental mechanisms governing social behavior.
