Social Medium Site Reddit
Reddit, a large online forum hosting diverse communities (subreddits), is a rich source of data for studying human behavior, language, and social dynamics. Current research focuses on analyzing Reddit's textual data using natural language processing (NLP) techniques, including large language models (LLMs) and graph transformer networks, to understand phenomena such as political polarization, mental health expression, hate speech propagation, and the spread of misinformation. These analyses reveal insights into online communication patterns, societal biases, and the impact of social media design on user behavior, informing both theoretical understanding and the development of improved content moderation strategies.
