Soft Membrane
Soft membranes are being explored across diverse scientific fields for their unique properties and potential applications. Current research focuses on leveraging soft membranes in robotics for improved gripping and tactile sensing, often employing machine learning models like neural networks to predict and control membrane deformation and interaction with objects. This work also extends to biological systems, with studies using deep learning to analyze lipid-protein interactions within cell membranes and to improve the design of drug delivery systems like lipid nanoparticles. Ultimately, advancements in understanding and controlling soft membrane behavior promise significant improvements in robotics, drug delivery, and our understanding of biological processes.
