Source Camera
Source camera identification (SCI) aims to determine the specific camera model or even individual device that captured a given image or video. Current research focuses on developing robust methods for SCI, leveraging both traditional techniques like analyzing Photo Response Non-Uniformity (PRNU) noise patterns and advanced machine learning approaches, particularly convolutional neural networks (CNNs), often employing hierarchical classification strategies. These advancements have implications for digital forensics, copyright protection, and authentication, improving the reliability of image and video evidence analysis.
