Spanish Dictionary
Research on Spanish dictionaries is expanding beyond traditional lexicography, encompassing the development of large-scale resources for information retrieval and socio-phonetic analysis. Current efforts focus on creating comprehensive pronunciation dictionaries with detailed phonetic and lexical annotations, leveraging large language models (LLMs) to automate dictionary creation and improve existing resources, and building substantial datasets for training and evaluating natural language processing (NLP) models in Spanish. These advancements are crucial for improving information access for Spanish speakers, advancing linguistic research, and enhancing the performance of NLP applications in this widely spoken language.
