Spatial Acoustic

Spatial acoustic research focuses on modeling and manipulating sound propagation in three-dimensional space, aiming to create realistic and immersive auditory experiences. Current efforts concentrate on developing novel neural network architectures, such as neural warping fields and conformers, to efficiently represent and synthesize spatial acoustic effects from limited data, often employing self-supervised or contrastive learning techniques. These advancements have implications for various applications, including virtual and augmented reality, robotics, and audio processing, by enabling more accurate and efficient rendering of realistic soundscapes.
