Spin State

Spin state research focuses on understanding and modeling the intrinsic angular momentum of particles, crucial for diverse fields from materials science to astrophysics. Current efforts involve developing advanced neural network potentials, like those incorporating spin degrees of freedom within multi-task learning frameworks or equivariant tensor networks, to accurately predict material properties and analyze complex systems. These models are applied to various problems, including predicting spin configurations in materials, analyzing quantum dot devices, and characterizing gravitational wave signals from binary black hole mergers. This work improves the accuracy and efficiency of simulations and data analysis, leading to a deeper understanding of fundamental physics and enabling advancements in materials design and astrophysical modeling.
