Spoof Localization

Spoof localization, a crucial aspect of anti-spoofing research, focuses on identifying and pinpointing the temporal locations of fraudulent segments within audio recordings. Current research emphasizes improving the accuracy of these localization efforts, particularly in scenarios with partially spoofed audio, using techniques that incorporate boundary information and advanced attention mechanisms to better distinguish between genuine and synthetic speech segments. This work is driven by the need for more robust evaluation metrics, such as range-based equal error rates, which better reflect the extent of localization errors. Ultimately, advancements in spoof localization are vital for enhancing the security and reliability of voice-based authentication systems.
