Spreadsheet Manipulation
Spreadsheet manipulation research focuses on automating and improving the efficiency of tasks performed within spreadsheet software, aiming to bridge the gap between user intent (often expressed in natural language) and complex formula generation or data manipulation. Current research employs large language models (LLMs), vision-language models (VLMs), and constraint satisfaction techniques to achieve this, with a focus on developing robust benchmarks and agents capable of handling real-world complexities like multi-step reasoning and ambiguous user requests. This work has significant implications for improving data analysis workflows, enhancing productivity, and reducing errors in various professional and personal contexts.
