Sprite Sheet

Sprite sheets, collections of images representing character animations or game assets, are a core component of 2D animation and game development. Current research focuses on automating sprite sheet creation and manipulation, employing techniques like Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to generate missing poses or entire sprites from limited input, and optimizing algorithms for efficient sprite decomposition from existing animations. These advancements aim to reduce the time and effort required for creating sprite sheets, improving workflow efficiency for artists and game developers, and enabling new creative possibilities.
