Steerable Robot
Steerable robots, encompassing both physical and AI-based systems, aim to create robots whose behavior can be precisely controlled and adapted to various tasks. Current research focuses on improving the controllability of these robots, exploring techniques like conditioned language policies for AI models, and leveraging hydrodynamic interactions or vibro-impact mechanisms for physical robots. This research is significant because it addresses challenges in achieving reliable and generalizable control, paving the way for more adaptable and effective robots in diverse applications, from medical procedures to artistic creation and even economic modeling.
