Stenosis Detection
Stenosis detection, the identification and quantification of narrowed blood vessels, is crucial for diagnosing cardiovascular diseases like coronary artery disease. Current research focuses on developing automated methods using deep learning, employing architectures such as transformers, UNets, and convolutional neural networks, often within federated learning frameworks to address data privacy and heterogeneity across institutions. These advancements aim to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of stenosis diagnosis compared to manual methods, ultimately leading to better patient care and potentially reducing inter-observer variability in clinical assessments.
