Stereo Event Camera
Stereo event cameras, comprising pairs of event-based sensors, aim to leverage the high temporal resolution and dynamic range of event cameras for improved depth estimation and visual odometry. Current research focuses on overcoming challenges like temporal and spatial misalignment between cameras through novel synchronization and calibration techniques, as well as integrating event data with other sensor modalities (e.g., LiDAR, frame cameras) to enhance robustness and accuracy. These advancements are driving progress in applications such as autonomous driving and robotics, where reliable and efficient 3D perception in challenging conditions is crucial.
