Strain Sensor
Strain sensors are devices that measure deformation, finding increasing application in diverse fields from robotics to healthcare. Current research focuses on developing highly sensitive, stretchable, and easily integrable sensors, often incorporating them into soft robots, wearable garments, and other flexible systems. Advanced signal processing techniques, including deep learning and model-based estimation (e.g., using NARX neural networks or Finite Element Methods), are crucial for extracting meaningful information from sensor data and enabling accurate shape and force estimation. These advancements are driving progress in areas such as human-computer interaction, soft robotics control, and personalized healthcare monitoring.
