Street View
Street View imagery (SVI) research focuses on leveraging readily available street-level photos for diverse applications, primarily in urban analysis and autonomous driving. Current research emphasizes developing sophisticated models, including diffusion models, transformers, and neural radiance fields, to synthesize realistic SVIs, perform geolocalization, and extract detailed information about buildings, roads, and even social indicators from existing images. This work is significant because it enables large-scale, automated analysis of urban environments, improving urban planning, infrastructure management, and the development of safer and more efficient autonomous systems.
