Subcutaneous Immunotherapy
Subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) aims to modulate the immune system to treat various conditions, from allergic rhinitis to cancer. Current research focuses on improving treatment efficacy through personalized approaches, leveraging machine learning models (like transformers, LSTMs, and deep learning pipelines) to predict treatment response based on factors such as tumor microenvironment characteristics (e.g., T-cell populations and expression of markers like PD-L1 and FOXP3) and patient-specific socio-demographics. These predictive models aim to optimize treatment selection and improve patient outcomes, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness and personalization of SCIT across diverse applications.
