Sustainable Development Goal

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) represent a UN framework of 17 interconnected global objectives aimed at achieving a more sustainable and equitable future by 2030. Current research focuses on leveraging machine learning, particularly deep learning and large language models (LLMs), to improve SDG monitoring and prediction by analyzing diverse data sources, including satellite imagery, text data (e.g., from publications and social media), and knowledge graphs. This work aims to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of SDG indicator tracking, identify correlations between goals, and inform policy decisions through more data-driven and efficient approaches. The resulting advancements have significant implications for both scientific understanding of global development challenges and the practical implementation of effective sustainability strategies.
